Synopsis

After a tragic accident on Thanksgiving Day, a Merritt Island family of four struggles to recover. Cuban-American writer Elisa Rosa Graham strives to save her failing marriage, while her son, Jasper, fights to heal physically and emotionally from his burn scars. Wrestling with her identity, Elisa leaves her home in Twining Vines to explore the life she wishes she had—a life as Eliza Rose in the English countryside, congruent with her love of British literature. She travels to England with her mother, Beatriz, to become someone new, but what she really needs is to break free from shame and codependency, and to embrace her own story.
